FUNDRAISING

  • Primary BOOSTER Club Fundraiser

The Cy-Woods FFA Booster Club holds TWO PRIMARY fundraisers each year. Our annual Fall Festival & Craft Market has historically been our key fundraiser, however starting in November 2024 we will also hold a Jackpot Show.

The Fall Festival weekend consists of a variety of craft market vendors, food trucks, silent auction, festival style activities and is held at the Telge Exhibition Center. It is a big undertaking and requires the help of many volunteers, both student and adult, to make it successful. Each year we try to add various alternative activities in order to pull in more shoppers, so be sure to check out the Fall Festival & Market page for more details on this event.

2024 will host our inaugural Jackpot Show and we are all very excited for this event! The show will be Sunday only with a Friday set up and Monday clean up and the Telge Exhibition Center. We need help to make this event a success so please consider volunteering. For more details on this event please check out the Jackpot Show page.

  • Secondary Booster Club Fundraising

The Cy-Woods Booster Club SECONDARY fundraisers consist of straight donations, membership dues, merchandise sales, Senior yard signs and customized wood activity yard sign sales. Occasionally we may organize “Spirit Night” type events. We also have some businesses which offer rewards such as Kroger, Cy-Fair Credit Union, Amazon Smile, etc. With these you select us as your charity of choice and a portion of your purchases are donated to us. Secondary fundraisers need volunteers to help organize and manage, however the biggest contribution here is simply participation. You can find all our current Secondary Fundraising opportunities on our Events page and the FFA Shop.

If you have ideas you think might be great secondary fundraising opportunities please be sure to contact our VP2 either at the email found on our About Us page or via the Contact Us page!

  • FFA Student Chapter Fundraisers

The primary fundraiser for the FFA student chapter at Cy-Woods is the Fresh Country Sales. All FFA students are encouraged to participate in the Fresh Country sales which is a short sell lasting only approximately 2 weeks, starting in late September. Delivery of the Smoked Meats is in November, before the Thanksgiving break.

The Plant Sale fundraiser is a small fundraising opportunity provided by the FFA horticulture courses and teams. Students in this program grow various plants from seed as part of their course and then open the greenhouse and sell to the public. While this is not a booster fundraiser, this sale does require non-CFISD employee booster members to help facilitate the sales transactions.

These are not booster club fundraisers. Profits from these fundraisers go to the Cy-Woods FFA student chapter at the school and are used by the Ag Teachers to help support the FFA program.

  • Sell it.

All FFA families are strongly encouraged to join the Booster Club and to participate and support the fundraising efforts of both the FFA Booster Club and the FFA student chapter. FFA provides students so many opportunities for personal growth by learning responsibility, accountability, tolerance, patience, budgeting, observance. perseverance and disappointment. All extremely useful life lessons students will use regardless their career path. Without the support of our members these fundraising efforts would not be successful and our FFA program would be severely disadvantaged. Help us help your student have the best opportunities and experiences in this fantastic program.
